And you know the headline will be Cigarett boat involved in crash or something to that effect.

Looks like that deck boat was moving pretty good.

It's just a shame that off all the people to have serious injuries it was a kid. I couldn't imagine how I would feel if it was one of my children. With that said it could have been a lot worse.

That's sad!! Deckboat full of people and driver not paying attention especially at night!! Hope the kid is ok, the driver would have been hurting if that was my kid!

Well Hossman oddly enough THATS YOUR OLD 33. "Texas Tease". Johnny Hearn is a close friend of mine, I bought my 272 from him.

The kid is not OK. He was ejected and then run over. He has prop rash in ICU trying to get strong enough for "more surgery". No alcohol involved is yet to be determined. There were 7 possible drivers on board the deck boat.

I thought that boat looked familiar!!!! I thought it was named "Texas Tea" or something now...Had a different name on the back in the video attached so wasn't sure...

Man, so so so sad. Hate that this happened. Prayers to the kiddo involved and everyone effected.

It was named "Texas Tease" when he bought it. He renamed it "Nauti-a-Care" a couple of years ago (new girl friend).

Just FYI, the 33OL is a battleship. The decker was doing estimated 40 MPH at impact, got the bottom ripped out and sank. The 33 has cosmetic damage, port aft quarter (it did break thru), swim deck bent, broken fairing and some gouges.

We can pray for the kid and...

Help Johnny source a replacement fairing and swim deck. He's trying to get her patched up for the 4th. Anybody reading this has any ideas, let me know. Johhny doesn't do forums.

They are great boats....Deserve a lot more credit then they are given. That boat looks really really good for sure and even the pic in the video doesn't look too bad as compared to the deck boat....

XT might be able to chime in on a windscreen but if not AERO can make one...but they aren't cheap...as in thousands. Maybe someone has one they are parting out somewhere or something. I'm sure there are some sources for platforms but I know Great Lakes Skipper had some left over Baja platforms or something...probably have to get it painted if they still had one. Think they had one for a 23 or 26 OL but not sure if they have one for a 35 OL that would work maybe? Here is a link to the platforms...

Here is the link to AERO...as I said...very pricy but look who they build for... http://aeromarineone.com/

Good luck...

Horrible news,,,,,I hope the little guy recovers 100% and quickly.

as far as the windscreen ......All the molds were lost for the windscreen in a hurricane a few years back.

Have to find a local fab company.

Ask me how I know
