Default imco powerflow exhaust revrsion

hey guys I have a set of imco powerflow manifolds on my 555ci motor and I noticed a I get a little bit of reversion. is there any way I can restrict the water going into the headers and still be alright with cooling etc. these are the ones that the water passes through the gasket going to the the risers, I was thinking of tig welding a restrictor washer on the elbow inlet at the bottom of the headers. any help would be great

Do you have the long risers, or the short ones with captain call?

I don't know what kind of cam overlap you have, but I had the same problem with just a mildly modded 502. I had to loose the captains call, and go with the long risers and mufflers......... I would suggest calling IMCO and telling them what you have. They may tell you the same thing.

I would not restrict water flow. That could cause other issues.
Increasing the idle rpm 50-100rpms should help some.
