New to a 38zx Daytona and my dock skills need some help. The boat likes to walk forward with fwd / reverse drives. Are all 38 zx's this way? Really have to motor the reverse engine to keep from doing it. I tried to trim the drives up and that seems to help the turning but not the forward walk. Props turn in and has 32p bravo 1. Not as mild mannered as the 38 Baja.

your having problems because the props are turning in.. take the boat out to the lake by yourself and try putting both drives into reverse at the same time and see what the boat does with the drives straight,,then pull the starboard drive into nutreal and see which way the stern wants to go and do the same with the port side..it takes some getting use to with the preos turning in..ask glassdave,,he has one..

if I understand correctly when you split shifts the boat does not spin but rather creeps forward. thats pretty much what they do and is a byproduct of spinning. took my a while to get the hang of it, spinning in kills dockability but you develop methods with the 38ZX. Its kind of a love/hate relationship with this boat lol
soooooooo . . . . . what ya spinning the 32's with?

Mine creeps fwd too. I was told by an old timer that it's because the props are designed to go fwd so they're more efficient going fwd. I just modulate the throttle of the eng that's in rev if the bow gets too close to something. Works like a charm.

seems like a lot of prop, I spin 28's with 525 SC's. what speeds are you seeing at WOT? I am guessing they are not stock?
