Lake Michigan Fun Run and Lake Winnebago Poker Run
Good morning!
We are EIGHT DAYS away from the Lake Michigan Fun Run. IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED PLEASE DO SO ASAP. I know some of you are waiting for the weather report before registering. Long-range says 75°, 10% chance of rain and winds NE at 9mph! Sounds good to me! I have also fielded questions regarding boat size on Lake Michigan as well as dBA levels of engines. Anything over 30’ should not have much of a problem. Smaller craft may run into slight problems if it is windy. So far the wind conditions look favorable! Remember, this is a Fun Run for charity and it is not necessary that you make all the stops. Just join us for a great day on the water! Decibels: 75-80 dBA at 50 feet is considered quiet so if you are a bit over you should be fine. Lastly, 93 octane is available in Port Washington. Please check out the map for the 118 mile route!
Remember - all the proceeds from this weekend will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation Yacht Blast for Kids. We will have contests, great food, music, silent auctions and raffles and lots of camaraderie!
