Default Surface prep before spraying gel

Hello all. I'm in the final stages of my bilge redo. Getting ready to whale in the gel and I'm wondering how to properly prep the glass for gel. I have it sanded to 80 grit. When I was glassing the area I would use the shop vac to clean up between grinding and additional layup.

Can I just shop vac the area real good or do I have to wash it all down with acetone or a surface prep before shooting in the waxed gel?

Thanks, rob

yep just vac it out and maybe wipe it down with a damp cloth (acetone). Not sure if i am remembering wrong but i have been told to not use a traditional tack cloth for some reason when shooting raw gel. Havnt the slightest idea where i got that from but i have always used that rule, could be something i got from the guy i learned from twenty plus years ago and may not even apply any longer. Besides surface prep for gel isnt as critical as paint it just needs to be thoroughly sanded and dust free. The gel will bury anything.

Thanks Dave. I'll post up some pics when I get it in.

I appreciate all the help along the way Dave.
