So before my accident I was in the process of building my newest toy a 73" mystic R/C boat! The hull is the same as a real mystic, just sized down, the bottom has carbon fiber inlayed with the rest of the motor mounts, servo mounts etc covered in carbon fiber! The boat runs off 2 electric motors that are the size of soda cans if not a little bigger, has 2 x 300amp esc's, clickable drives ( each notch either lowers or raises the drives for trim ) stainless polished push pull rudder there is water pickups in the sponsons of the boat to keep the motors and esc's cool. The boat has 2 x BECs that run the steering servo and receiver and 2 x 10s Lipo's ( if your not familiar with Lipo batteries they are the strongest/ dangerous battery out there) with a total of 37volts per battery 74 volts total inside the boat, the electric motors are rated at 10+HP per motor! The boat is now done and its just sitting in black gel coat so I have to figure out a way to have it wrapped or painted.
I have contacted a few people like Miss Geico ( I'm actually good friends with Bruce and Mary the 2 that haul the boats and gear ). Team Cintron LiquidEnergy, Dave Scott from Nauti Marine, Joe Cosker from Mystic Powerboats, Joe from Turbine Marine Inc. as well as a few others. I have talked with Dave for a bit about doing the boat in a Nauti Marine theme boat and sent the wrap people over the design of the Nauti marine boat but we haven't came to a decision on that yet so I thought I would throw this out there......
I would like some feedback from everyone about what kind of theme I should do? I will be running the boat at the LOTO mini shootout as well as a few other places around LOTO! I have been contact by a few editors from magazines about the boat and they are wanting to do a article on the boat when it's finished. If you would like to sponsor this maybe we can come to agreement on what to put on the boat ( wrap job design ) and price I would do this also. I just want a boat that when people see it, they are like holy cause the boat is SUPER SUPER fast it has been ran with a GPS inside of it and I can just say this, it is damn fast, it will outrun most boats at LOTO! ( no speed given till after the mini shootout ) I will let the other person know the speed on it after it is wrapped in their business name! Trust me this is a boat that you will just be in aww jaw dropping when you see it... It's taller than most people!!!
You can pm me on here or email, [email protected]...

Funny you should say that, I built a Miss Geico Team rig, full tilt trailer, nitro truck with a f-650 body paint the color of the old geico boat, disc brake, 2 speed tranny with reverse and strobe lights all over it!!! Wish I could post a video here but can't, I'm looking for sponsors for the mystic, I have a ton of money into it that would make the average joe puke, actually sold my motorcycle to finish the build!!!

I have a gas powered Mystic the same size & I was just thinking of painting my own design on it. Seems like there are enough copies out there, that's just my opinion. Good luck with what you come up with don't forget to post up some pics, it should look awesome! Randy

I always like the red/black Bud boat but there is probably a dozen r/c's out there - you could wait for the Qatar <sp?> mystic to be debuted ( or a take on either of the boats they ran in the last two years) or if you really stand out from the crowd when you are running with the big dawgs - lots of colour along the lines of '09 Skater "Predator"....

Yea I know Stephen from airbrush alley, I don't have the funds at the moment to have him paint it, but I plan on someday to have him paint it though, his work is phenomenal!!!
I actually just recieved the wrap I ordered and I might just throw it on there myself....
