Default Tres Martin class at Lake Charlevoix, any interest?

I am talking to Tres Martin about taking his class July 1-2.

This would be for the High Performance Class (75 to 125 mph).

I was wondering if any one else might be interested in taking the class, in which case I would set up the class to be run on Lake

Charlevoix. If no one is interested, I can simply take the class on Lake St. Claire.

Time is sort of in supply, so I would need to know if anyone would be interested.

Ha! Always a day late and a dollar short!

I just took delivery of a new-to-me, 2001 42 Fountain. So I am wanting to improve my skills.

Where on St. Claire did you take the class?

I was just thinking Lake Charlevoix would be a nice place to take it.

Congrats on the new boat, enjoy it!

We took the classroom day at Miller Marina. I rack store there so I asked the owner if he would host. There was 3 people from Miller and 3 others from the area.

My thought exactly. You're going to have to go out on the big lake and remember you have to go out a mile there.

Yes, I am aware of the 55 mile limit on Lake Charlevoix. I was not sure how Tres would work around that. I was just thinking it was a less congested area to work in.

That being said, and seeing as no one else is interested in taking the class at this time up there (short notice, I know. Sorry) I guess that I will see about having Tres come and teach the class on Lake St. Claire instead.

Thanks for the comments though. Good information!

You can call Tres and explain the situation and see if he can work around the 2 boats.

It would mean that we would split the cost of having him come to teach the class, but not the costs of the actual courses.

Give him a call and see what he says.
