Default OSO taking over my computer?

Couple of days ago I try to sign on OSO. Doesn't recognize my screen name or password and keeps asking me to "create" a screen name to become a member. WTF? I try a number of times with no success. Then I notice a 1-800 number in a banner of the main page of OSO with something about technical questions. I don't know what all changes have been made to OSO since it sold out, so I call the number. I suspect the person may be from India, or somewhere other than the US, (much like any other technical assistance these days) but he says he will get me back on to my Offshore account, "don't you worry".
He has me type in some numbers on my address bar and next thing I know he is moving my coursor around and looking at stuff in my programs or bios? He goes on to tell me I have many virus infections, BUT, for a monthly fee he can "fix all of your issues" and get rid of the virus I have. As he's telling me how I can "pay" for these repairs and protection, I'm reaching down to unplug the cable and cords to my router. At first he says he works "for the website" but later tells me he works for a company called TREZcom PC care. He gives me another 800 number to call when I politely decline.
First, Has OSO sold all of us out? Since I'm watching HIM move my cursor and open files and stuff, do I now have a virus of Biblical perportion? WTF!

you have a browser redirect on your computer and some viruses and spyware as well I am sure and you probably have some settings on your windows OS that are allowing your PC to be "open" as well for him to gain access like that

that would not be from OSO that is a common scam that happens to a lot of people on a lot of websites.....it is on your computer

+1 Also, just go download Superantispyware soft ware and the website http://superantispyware.com/. I go rid of all my Norton crap and use this without a problem. I ran into this a couple of years back and this was the only thing up to date to get it out, and fast. It's free, but they do offer a pro version. You can use it and remove it if you want.

also you need to go to any bank, credit card, utilities, good email accounts (vs your span and junk email accounts) from a computer that is clean like one from your office or once you get your computer cleaned up and change all of your passwords
