Towing 11,500 LB Donzi FL to MI - Tips

Any heavy haulers out there with experience towing a 9'6" boat that weight 11,500 LBS DRY?

Wondering if I need to stop at weigh stations going from Florida to Michigan.
I'm also struggling with the laws in each state, they are all so vague on what requires a permit....

Any comments will help.
Thanks!!!

Oh and by the way, having a marine survey done on the vessel today. 2002 Donzi 38 ZX!!!! So Excited.

Scabby Jack - Thanks, looks like general comments say you can risk it and be ok. Or get the permit in each state to be legal. This is a brain teaser.
