going up to visit in-laws and brining the 32'er to lake Logan Martin for July 4th weekend. I have been there with my bay boat a few times and had 4 friendly stops, 3 in one day by the same damn woman officer!!!!! to "check" and advise me on how Alabama law is different than Louisiana law lol, maybe she just hates LSU LOL...any noise ordnance's on that lake??? just checking never heard of one there. I haven't seen any powerboats out on the water but did see a couple on the lift there.

lake to lake is very different in AL. I will say you will be the only performance boat on the lake so you are are going to draw attention. You should be fine tho....

thanks.. know someone who boats and lives out there, he has a single engine baja, not sure what model but he told me the same thing via email yesterday. lake martin seems to be where the law is concentrating on speeds and size... I have a real problem with the regs on the size coupled with the speed on the "3 lake law" from 2009...you can have a 21' bass boat and go as fast as you want but anything over 26.5 feet is regulated to 55mph???? wtf??? if it's wake they are worried about this will have no affect on the big cruisers that they have grandfathered in.

May try that sometime...this is more to visit the in laws and have a little fun on the water while we're there. the RV is at Lake Side Landing storage so the hitch is empty this go round. Hopefully I wont get pestered to much by the water patrol.

DAMN!!! just went and took a look at smith lake... It's pretty big compared to logan martin

Yes smith is large with over 500 miles of shoreline and most channels 100' deep or more, lots of very scenic areas. Poker run on the 20th of july if you are interested. Not a "gotta be the fastest" poker run really just a boat rally with card stops.

I was shocked the first time at logan martin...I asked where to go by water to stop and socialize maybe have a beer or two...not much at all lol..I said, where are the stops the boaters go to hang out??? they looked at me like i was crazy...father in law said, not like back home around this lake lol. big bass fishing lake really, but i like hills around the water, its all flat as he!! down here!!!
