38 fountain for sale anyone know anything about this boat?
It's the 38 fountain for sale on this sight. I thinks it's the second one listed down on the first page in the classified section. Any one know the history behind the boat? It's listed for 35k or 39k something like that with motors unfinished out of the boat.
Thanks any info will be a help

To give you an idea, I sold this 2000 38 Fever on a good Pacific trailer without power for around $39K. At the time I would say it was a 9 out of 10. The boat had been completely redone in 2005/6 with new interior and paint, carpet, had XR drives with Imco -2's on extension boxes, and had complete hyd steering and needed nothing but power.
If you pay anywhere near his asking price for that older project boat and then fix everything that's needed to bring that boat and trailer up to decent condition you are going to be very upside down compared to what you could pay for a nice 38 that is already running.
When you consider the missing parts and fugly paint and bad interior, and that it only has bravo' s in lord knows what condition, I don't think what he is selling there is worth more than $15K and then only if you are willing and can do the work yourself.
There are too many deals out there to even mess with a project boat like this one unless they are pretty much giving it away - and at his price he is no where near giving it away.

Ya it did sell on ebay. I bought it...called him and emailed him many times. His response was he was busy and he would call me tomorrow every time. I had plans to fly out on Monday he wouldn't call me back so thankfully I didn't go. I think he sold the boat to someone else for more money if i had to guess. As far as I'm concerned he can shove it! Nobody's that busy. He can email me but he can't call, doesn't make any sense. Some People just suck

Pretty sure that's Lubejobs42 here on on OSO. He has a great reputation here on OSO. That doesn't sound like the kind of business Gino is know for conducting.

I don't know Gino except for his posts here on OSO and following his past MTI's and looking forward to his next build - as are a lot of people.
As Marginmn already stated, Gino seems to have a good reputation......but this just turned into another dirty laundry thread on here.

Well idk he screwed me over. Maybe he let one of his friends use his account. Either way it's wrong and I hope people see this and think twice before dealing with him. FYI he still hasn't contacted me. All he had to do was man up and tell me the truth if he sold it on me for more money. I won the eBay bidding its only right.
