I have a edelbrock performer air gap 7562 that I am putting on my 454 gen IV. It has two water passages that the oem intake did not have - up front on either side of the thermostat housing and in the rear on either side of the distributor. Do I plug the holes or is there something else I should be doing with them? Thanks!!!!!

You can install some fittings in them, and dump the water overboard via a thru hull fitting. Helps keep steam pockets from forming and rear cylinders cooler. -4 or -6 lines work for this.

You can also run them to the front of manifold to under the thermostat housing ... In a "stockish" motor ,just plug the rear ones ..

ok the true answer...if they are in the front of the intake you can just put brass plufs in them and not worry about anything..if they were on the rear of the intake then do what mild thunder suggested and you can either dunp them over board to avoid steam pockets ot if you were not using the front 2 you can install barbed fittings and run the hose's from the rear of the intake to the front corners of the intake..this would be the beat way so the the exhause it getting enough water to keep it cool..if you decide to dump the rear over board then go from the bigger fitting to a smaller one like a 3/8 so your not dumping too much water overboard and keep from keeping the exhaust cool..

Built so many 454's I cant count and all had the same intake you have. Plug all 4. Never had an issue.
Also Home Depot has the cheapest brass plugs if they didn't come with it.

Unless you have a need for one of the front ones for a sender, just plug them all .
