Default OT - Excursion (Again)

A news story from Detriot about Ford discontinuing the Excursion, if you're interested -
http://www.clickondetroit.com/det/mo...30-160753.html

I know this has been brought up here several times, and it always seemed to be just rumours in the past. Maybe this is the same thing - who knows?

Should mean some good deals near the end of the run... too bad though. Ford f***ed up on the Excursion - badly underengineered the suspension. Every owner I've talked to has had to invest money to get the vehicle to ride right; no excuse for that on a $40K vehicle.

A close friend of mine works at the Truck Plant in Kentucky and he said they were updating the line during plant shut down to get ready for 2003 production, so who knows

There is an article in the NY Times that claims the Excursion will go away at the end of 04. They say it's labeled as a gas guzzler.
Bad news!
