The peanut, pork and pine festival at Chippokes is Saturday, July 20.

HUGE boater get together on the banks of Chippokes Plantation and the James River directly south and across from Jamestown Island beginning Friday afternoon throughout the weekend. Boats of all types. Large cruisers, powerboats, ski-boats, family boats, small big block Hydrostreams, etc. Lots of rafting and everybody is in the water throughout the day. If that doesn't entertain you enuff, up on shore up a little ways on a trail is the festival itself along with traditional food & entertainment. Best part of all is it's FREE! no registrations and it's a great run by boat to get there and back.
