Oil and filter option 383 mpi ??

Oil and filter option 383 mpi ??
Would you recommend this?? Motors are 2007 Mercruiser Factor 383 Mpi wanna run 25w-50 Pennzoil Gt performance racing oil and the wix 51060r filter I know it's a little over kill but I get these at cost!! Is it ok to run this combo on this motor?? Thanks

On the oil, preferably the refined type. I do not believe the motor would be happy with straight crude. On the filter, the Mr. Coffee 65843b.-A7X is wholly inadequate. You need at least the B12QZ line.

Not sure if it makes a difference or now but I always try to run the same oil through out the motors life.
