I have been piecing my boat together all summer.. With the help of folks from the boards here I just might be able to use it in the next week or so....
The harness I have is from a 89 Baja with a 454.. I believe that it is a 9 pin. My boat is a 96 and it appears that they match up as far as pluggin together..
What Im concerned with is, some of the wiring is different. As far as my alternator is new and it has one pole where I believe is the + and one off on the edge that appears to be a ground.
the harness that I have has 4 wires. Purple, Red, Orange, and Black...

once I get this part figured out I have other harness questions...

The black is the negative/ground, the orange is the hot/positive.
The other 2 are not used with a single wire alternator.
