Default Swim Platforms

Just curious if anyone on here has purchased an Aluminum Powder Coated Swim Platform from Alum Metal Fab ?

Was the install easy or difficult ?

What problems did you run into ?

With the problems, were they good to do business with ?

If your in salt water, how is it holding up ?

How was the powder coat color match with your paint ?

Thank You in advance for the reply !

check out Extreme, they did the one on my old boat, 33 Daytona, and it was awesome and the quality was excellent. The powder coat was custom and never faded or wore after 10 years.

Just wanted to let you guys know I did acquire a new swim platform from Aluminum Metal Fab in Ohio.
Typically I felt is was a little pricey, but I think everything regarding boating is pricey.
I must say it turned out way nicer than anticipated !
Delivery was precisely as stated , the quality of the piece was outstanding and above all it fit like a glove.
I would highly recommend these guys to anyone on here.
Extremely diligent with immediate responses to anything you may have questions on.
The president of the company is the guy you typically talk to and he was really knowledgeable.

They do very nice work, however I would not rely on his files for measurements, check them all yourself.

In my case I measured everything except the transom angle which he said he knew. I was then faced with sending it back by truck freight due to wrong transom angle, in the end I elected to make my own adapters which turned out fine.

Would buy again from them again as it is quality work.

they did a nice job making it but why didn't you have them make the forward edge follow the curve of the transom?

I bought one from them this spring, I LOVE it, I personally did not think it was pricey at all compared to others, I was very happy with the work and quality, Scott was very good to deal with, measurements were right on....

Helped me being local to save shipping!!!

VERY HAPPY

actually not that hard to do you make a template of the transom get the pipe bent correctly and check it against the boat and other than that the rest is the same, some angle cuts on the first bar or two but the rest is straight. Any fabricator worth his salt can do it, as long as they have a pipe bender.
