Is this pick-up causing slip?

I'm running a -2 on a 28' Nordic, my drive shower pick up has gotten ever so slightly closer to my prop.
Can this be causing slip? I run pretty high slip numbers, but it hasn't really changed with the new -2. Just wondering big picture wise, if this is a concern. The picture is a little dramatic looking, it's actually not that close. Go Pro shows most of that is out of the water at cruise, so I'm not sure if it's aerating more or if it matters?
Thanks

My humble opinion it that the pick up is too low.
I only like to see the 46 degree angle of the cut exposed or slightly more. There is usually enough water and spray to offer cooling water to the upper cap.
We have experienced many situations where these pick ups have caused additional slip issues.
Easy test. Get mid range and WOT numbers. Then on the same day in the same conditions, remove and tie off the pick up and run the same cruise and WOT speeds and compare the slip numbers.
We are always suspect of these pick as well as pitot tubes, transducers, other external water pick ups etc.
We can help you run the numbers if you would like.
