They have parking on the back side of the shopping center and yes you are allowed to go into pits , which is on the race course and gives you the best viewing...Turn 1 is approx around the St Clair Inn on the north side and The Voyager is towards the south end all on the US side

The race can be seen on either side. I'm pretty sure they come closer to shore on the U.S. side and that's where the event is held, pits and all the festivities. Never seen from Canada, so hard to say how close they come along shore. Worth a shot to check out!

Yeah no kidding. Weather never surprises me around here anymore. I always just make sure I have a pair of shorts and a snowmobile suit at all times. Lol

The canadian side is mostly residential, so unless you know someone, however there are a few areas that are public that can also give a good view.

I shot this from the canadian side in 2009, there was a vacant lot, ask the people who owned it if it was ok to shoot from here, they said yes, and invited us to stay for bbq after.

The Town of Court Right on the Canadian side is right across from the City of St. Clair and you have a decent view but you can't beat the City of St. Clair where the Wet and Dry Pit Areas are and all the venders and public viewing. I'm from Windsor Ontario, Canada and always make a point to be at the St. Clair River Classic on Saturday and Sunday on the U.S. side at St. Clair.
