My buddy wants to buy some used carb camshafts for his budget gen IV build. His sea pumps do not have fuel pumps so he would need a pump lobe.
Thanks

Make sure he is running some type of exhaust with long risers or one that introduces the water near the transom. The 110* LSA and overlap on the HP500 carb cams tended to revert with the short risers or exhaust that do not have a sufficient degree of drop down to the transom.

Is this a Mark IV engine with a fuel pump boss on the block? From the question it sounds like you want to put a Gen V or Gen VI cam with no fuel pump lobe. A good roller cam with fuel pump boss is not the expensive, its the lifters that get pricy.

Anybody ever use the lower dollar comp cam packages like http://www.compperformancegroupstore...=MARKIVCAMHRXM. I am trying to get him to pony up for RM builder stuff
