Have a wife, two kids (11&9), and wife insisted on shade. Was extremely apprehensive about putting one on, worrying about lines of boat, and overall appearance. Had one custom made, and surprisingly enough, am very happy with it. I can run at 50 and it doesn't blink, and am sure I can push it more, though haven't tried to do so yet. Bimini holds steady and I have to say, the shade is nice. I can lay it down when not in use, or, I had them put Pad Eyes in the Mid, so I can hang it from the ceiling, out of the way, and hall butt! So let the haters hate, and those with kids or those that have pondered a Bimini, tell me what you think. Would post a picture though it says I do not have permission to do so. Will have to figure that out then post.

Keep an eye on the mounting points. If you can through-bolt it; this is much better than screws. Other than that; plenty of folks run with them at speed.

I have run my bimini at 65mph with no issues. Who cares what people think. Sometimes it's nice sitting in the shade or getting out of a passing rain shower.

I always have the topper on when my gf is with me.
