I am buying a hydro hoist for my dock and hope to get it this weekend and take it to my dock. the lift is set up with long bunks in the back right now for a straight bottom boat. here is a pic

now what I was wondering is will that be ok for me use it like that for now until I can add the extra boards in the back to accommodate my stepped hull. or will that be two much pressure on the stepped bottom?

I saw that, tried to price it, guy never returned my call... that's ok, I like my cheap dockage....

Leave it as is....you're good. At worst......after it's up....move the bunks/boat fore and aft for a better fit.....but you're basically good as long as you are 36" apart on the main strakes

Do u think those bunks will be ok on my steps for now tim. Don't they rack store on straight bunks even for step nottom boats

I was going to measure the bunks on my trailer and match them would that work...

That's what I did, matched my trailer bunks for the lift setup. Added a 2nd set on top of the regular ones for the step. I wouldn't want that weight on the edge of the step for any length of time myself. At least make a set of quick and dirty ones and screw to those boards till you get the final ones made. Take that pressure off the step edge. Whata you talking, a few bucks and a couple hrs to wrap a couple of boards for temp use?

i found a really good deal on a 9000# side tie. my boat is beleived to be 9800 dry weight. would this work?

has any one used a 33 zx on a 9000lb lift?

if you really think your boat is same as mine in weight then NO.... wont pick it up all the way.....

I thought you where over 12000# dry. I believe I am 93 or 9600 dry.
