What I can tell you is that boat is an ex race boat that the Velocity factory just recently refitted out for the owner. The fit out work was being covered on a thread on here recently.

To be honest I am very surprised to see it up for sale!

Not done a thing yet! Everything seems to be getting in the way!

I am just about to build an extension to my house and once that is completed I intend to concentrate on putting her together for next season on the water.

You fancy a VR-1 then?

I have had a 280 for some time and could be tempted by a VR 1. Not sure if this is the right one. Found the old thread on the restoration. Looks good but a retired race boat worries me some. Also I wonder abound the engine build and hours. I may have to call Kenny.

Good luck with your boat.

I climbed over that boat when it was at the factory being refurbished. The hull was in very good shape but the topside has since been painted.

Not sure on the condition of the engine but I very much doubt it if Velocity would sell a boat that wasn't sorted.

There are Standard VR-1's out there for less $$$.

.That's my old boat. Bill park built it to race and ran it 2-3 times and then it went to NC. and sat for years till I bought it and got it back on the water. The factory bought it from me and refit it and sold it to the current owner. Real real fast hull. we saw 84 in race set up. with 475 hp.
