Default Video 28 Skater Lake Norman NC

Spent some quality time with my son who loves to drive the boat. Short video of our time on Lake Norman a few weeks ago. Had a great time. Top speed in the video at the end was 90mph. Not bad for an 11yr old working the throttles and trim also.

You are right Jim. I normally wear one at high speeds but didn't really plan on going fast. No excuse though.
Will do a better job!

We always wear ours, it's not that we do something dangerous, it's the person on a rental wave runner or rental boat pulling a tube that we worry about
Excellent training. A 28 is fantastic to learn on.

or the jet ski who thinks he's the fastest thing on the river and doesn't need to worry about what's behind him when he decides to change course LOL

You guys are right on. It was a weekday on Lake Norman and the boat traffic is very light with tons of room around you. I weekends it is crazy. I have had a few encounters with jet ski's up there just like you say. I would did not let him drive under those conditions and no close quarters at speed yet. He has more to learn but a good start.
