Heading over to the west side of the state with my dad this Saturday to meet my godfather from Chicago for the night, Is there any good hangouts out there? Not bringing the boat but looking for something to do during the day Saturday into Saturday night. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It all depends on what kind of atmosphere you are looking for, there is something for everyone but in my opinion Wally's is the best for burgers and is the best hang out bar in Saugatuck, a lot of locals hang out there and sometime have a live band. Marro's for pizza and after dinner for late night bar scene, (at least it was have not been there this year) Phil's has good food and bar also, Wicks Inn, Coral gables, and the White House a couple blocks off the main drag, those are the main ones.

I heard the gay bars are a happenin place. LOL

Yes... you may.... run into that! lol I figured that is a known fact when you say Saugatuck, but it is not as bad as the stereotype has you believe, but yes you are correct but should not run into that at the places I mentioned! lol.. possibly Marros late in the night but thanks for letting him know J!

Ill make sure to watch out for that, we are actually staying in Douglas he owns a vacation rental home and has this weekend not rented so asked us to come out and meet him half way, he hasn't seen me since I took the leap off the deep end and got engaged. Does Skater do factory tours??? Just a thought.

Absolutely love Wally's. Awesome place. And Marro's is good too...but watch how late you stay there. Saw a dude in there one time with leather briefs on....and that was ALL!
