I know there are lots of posts about Wilson blue printing lowers but looking for some real world numbers from someone blue printing an imco sc lower on a light cat (25ft)ish with about 700hp or above, running 100mph plus. trying to decide if its worth the money on the sc lower. my prop does blow out some when I plane out, wondering if it would help and also any speed on top end. I think its gotta make some difference because of the shape. just talked to a guy that bolted on an imco scx upper and lower on 25ft Daytona and lost 15mph. its not apples to apples but the tweeking of the shape has to help on sc too, I guess? for the record the guy ditched the scx lower for an sc lower keeping the scx upper. not sure if he got all the speed back tho compared to his mercury xr upper and lower. he was about 750hp. thx

also, any idea if shaving material off the sc lower (blue printing) would cause it to be structurally weaker causing flex which might deteriorate the lower gears faster? I have about 700hp now but about 1100hp next spring and switching to the scx upper for sure. wanting to keep the sc lower if possible. 3800lbs htm ss24 cat.
