Default Sterling 1700-Powered Skater Hits 190 mph In First Sea Trial

Just in, http://speedonthewater.com/new-boats...irst-sea-trial.

Looks like we'll be seeing this one at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout at the end of the month.

John Tomlinson's version of "not pushing it" is different than most people's, but then he has more seat time in super-fast boats than almost anyone I can think of—and he has a ton of seat time in that boat, though with lesser power, in particular. Still, no doubt, 190 mph is bringing it.

And I just looked up my first Sterling 1700 story on speedonthewater.com. I thought I had been following this story for two years this month. I was wrong. I have been following it for three years this month.

How fast did that boat run when It was the old Bacardi Silver boat, what power did it have the last time it ran at the shoot out

According to JT, it topped 200 mph with 1,450-hp Sterlings. Not sure when and where. And no idea how fast it went the last time it appeared at the Shootout.

Still a rudder boat with a strut locking the sixes straight? Appears that way in top pic.
