Can you post a link and or pics of the of the undesirables that did this. Let me guess they also collect a form Gov't assistance on top of being a low life thief. I am so tired how fast they will be back out on the streets doing it all over again to another possibility of getting caught - so that we can have our hard earned tax dollars represent them, feed them, clothe them and so on for what to do it all over again. .

apparently one of them just got out on probation for burglary and they had what they think are stolen items on the boat with them. they hit something pretty hard on the port side. it is gouged for about two feet and cut in more than a quarter inch deep. it went through all four colors in the gelcoat. they hit the other side as well but not as bad. shift cable or something in the shift system is screwed up pretty good as well. it could be worse but it could be alot better. with the gel coat and all it will probably end up being 8-10k worth of damage.

Wow that was a quick recovery.... will you be able to finish the summer or do the repairs have to be made ASAP.
That is one of the good endings to a stolen posting - not even 5 hours after your first post the theaven SOB are locked up - what happen did they run into a police boat???

DNR was on the look out and was running up into some of the smaller coves in search. they spotted them way up in the north end of the lake. DNR did their job but got lucky in some ways, this is a pretty big lake with a lot of small coves and fingers so it would take days to cover. they went up one of the north fingers on a hunch that paid off. repairs have to be made as it does not shift properly and the gouge in the side may have fracture thru to the inside. what ever they hit was a pretty hard impact.

At least it can be fixed in short order and BC F1 90 doesn't have an uphill battle with the insurance company digging in their heels on a full loss due to theft.
No offence was intended about my jab with the theives running into the police boat - generally police only take a report and advise a person to call their insurance company to start the process but "don't get your hopes up" for them to find it... it often seems an insured boat that is stolen isn't a high ranking priority.
Around here, most of the boats stolen for joy rides are found by cottagers when it drifts ashore, by fishermen or its just never seen again
As I said - nice to hear about a good ending to getting the boat back
