Default What do I do to std props

Hi Guys,

I threw a blade on a prop 2 weeks ago and scrambled to find some replacements. I'm currently running out of the box Maximus 5 blades. 32 pitch, 15-5/8 diameter. I get on plane with ease with these props. I was also surprised at the top end of 90 at about 5,050 rpm. Looking for suggestions to improve top speed with alterations to these props, I have hit 96 MPH in this boat with a set of herings I destroyed last year due to a drive failure.

My current setup is 05, Donzi 38ZR, 600SCI, Latham Extension boxes, Imco SCX Uppers, Merc Shorty Lowers.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Mark

Mark,

This is the kind of enhancement/adjustment we specialize in.
Please give me a call and I can explain the various options to Lab Finish Maximus props.
These props are a huge canvas to work with. My staff and I helped develop these propellers and wrote the first Lab recipe for them 10 years ago at Mercury Racing. We have continued to work with these propeller improving the processes ever since.
I hope we have the opportunity to discuss your set up.

Brett
