I know this is not the for sale section but I figured it might be what a Velocity owner is looking for.
I have a Bravo 1 28 P prop that I sent back to Velocity a few months ago to have their prop guy rework it for my 280 Velocity with stock 496 HO. I was told it is now a 27. The best the boat did was 73mph with it. I am looking to repower over the winter and will need a different prop.
Prop started out as a 48-831916 28P
$550 plus shipping
I can email pictures.
Thanks

I went out today and with 2 adults,2 children, about 5/8 tank fuel, big cooler, and half my house, boat ran 70.1 at 4900rpm in bad water( calm,no chop).

I run a 5 blade on my 290sc. The original labbed 4 blade was damaged beyond repair. Im wondering if the factory uses the same lab specs for both hulls. Whats the listed weight and the running surface length on your 280?

The info I found on the 280 is it is 28' with swim platform and 4650lbs. Not sure about running surface but I would " think" they are within a foot of each other?? I believe the 290sc has an overall length of 28' 6'.

I may call velocity and see if they use the same prop for both boats. Mine came from them with a labbed 28 that I was told gets loosened up to 27. I sent it to bblades due to rock chips and smacked a tree stump as soon as I got it back. I just baught a p5x and havent looked back. I run about 67 @ 4800 but my cruise speed is what I was wanting to change. I do notice the boat consisantly wants more trim tab on the pass side. Probably 1.5-2 #s deeper in the water. Im curious if its the extra blade plus Id like to have this one as a back up and speed prop.
Ill let you know.
