Wellcraft Scarab center console boats and upholstery vinyl knowledge needed
#1
On the padded combing panels of my 2000 Wellcraft Scarab there are "Wellcraft" logos. I never paid much attention to them; I assumed they were embroidered.
I was looking at them today - they appear to be some type of appliqué that was maybe ironed on or glued on.......... The appliqué feels kinda stiff (old?) and/or brittle so I did not mess with it much. Reason I suddenly noticed; one of them is peeling, and I would like to replace it or fix it.
I've never seen something like this and I don't know what it is or how to fix / replace it.
Anyone that possibly worked at Wellcraft know anything about them, how they were applied or where Wellcraft got them?
Anyone else seen something like it???

From what I understand - There are two systems for painting vinyl - a top coat system which is basically sprayed on the vinyl and a method where they infuse the design; this last a little longer. The best method is the embroidery - it seems to last the longest but is more $. Someone speak up if I am wrong.
