Has anyone replaced the rubber pieces on the top and bottom of their flappers in their exhaust tips? I have stainless marine tips and lost a water hose which in turn over heated the exhaust and burnt the rubber off my flappers in the tips. If you've done this repair did you have to remove the tips and what did you use to secure the rubber to the flappers?
