I'm going to start running the amsoil 15/50 and am wondering if I should also run their filter. I was reading some pretty old posts about the Amsoil: SDF-24.(SDF24/EAO24) Currently, I have been running the Merc Racing filter. Back in 08 when my engine was built, the builder recommended the napa gold 1060 or WIX 51060. He didn't mention the 51060R either........... Not sure why?

Just looking for opinions on which filter is the best out of the three i just mentioned. Thanks.

I would not run the 51060R unless you are racing they are not built the same as the normal 51060 filters from wix. I sold these for years, however its been too many years since i have to fully explain why NOT to use them. I believe its something about the filtration level. call an Arnold motor supply as to talk to the outside sales man. the majority of these sales men were sent to a wix training class, sounds crazy i know but filtration is a huge buisiness.
