Default VHF Radio Location

Most of our boats have the same general layout in the cockpit. Where are you guys locating your VHF Radio's?

I have not set mine up yet and am considering ideas. Do you have it in the cabin or at the helm? I would like to have it at the helm for ease of use but have thought about putting it below.

I welcome all ideas and suggestions.

Mine is below the dash, right before going into the cabin. I changed my layout during a rebuild to add some storage in the cuddy, back into the cockpit so that it gave me a 'hallway' of sorts from the cockpit into the cuddy. I made the mounting box out of fiberglass.

I mounted mine just inside the cabin so the mike will still reach the helm and I can see the face also.

Put mine just inside cabin on port side with a good speaker under dash.

I had room behind my throttles and cup holder to put my VHF in flush mounted vertically.

The 382 is set up like that from the factory. My 303 it was mounted above the speaker by my right knee (sitting at the helm). On the cig, its under the dash out of the way.
