MD boaters, raftup in Chester River next weekend
#1
Next Saturday, August 10th in Langford Creek, Chester River. I haven't been to this spot yet, but I understand theres plenty of room near a park with grills. Should be a good turnout. Mark listed some directions as well on our website if interested in joining us. Members and non-members both invited.

K2 - I am seriously considering this as one of my stops this Saturday. It looks to be about 50 miles from my marina (Tome's Landing) on the Susquehanna. What time does it start?

Hi Chuck,
It's a pretty good ride for me out of Baltimore too, usually takes me a little over an hour to hit Langford Creek.
I went to the club meeting last night, and found out the start time is around noon. Judging from last nights response of attendees, we should have a lot of people coming and many spending the night there or in Langford Marina. It's a park of some sort, with bar-b-que grills, electric, a 100+ foot floating dock. They'll have the coals for the grills. Bring your own food and drink.
There was another warning about the final approach area, stay between the points, don't shortcut and look for the orange buoys they'll put up. There's deep water, but if you're not in the channel, you'll earn the nickname "sandbar".
