Default how far apart should I set the bunks on the boat lift for a 42 fountain Lightning ?

I have a 42 fountain lightning being delivered to me tomorrow

I have to figure out how far apart I should set the bunks on the lift

it is a 1998 step hull

Contact Fountain for the trailer set up instruction schematic. If they don't have it contact Real Fast Marine.

It's just not a matter of how far apart to set the bunks. The individual levels (steps) of the hull need to be supported, front to back. For example the trailer for my 38 has 3 different bunk levels. Check out the Myco website and look at their stepped hull trailers. Myco has made a lot of Fountain trailers. They might be able to send you some info. GL

I called Fountain they sent me the specs. Also Myco makes cradles for your lift they are really sweet! I cut the steps in the bunks for the 29. its important to cut the steps in so you have support along the bottom of your hull. Fountain told me do not rack it on straight bumks

they usually measure the bunks on the trailer, in the same spot just fewer of them

I found my schematic. We used it to make a cradle that fits perfectly.
