I just purchased a 1993 warlock sxt with twin 260 carb motors and the boat has 14.5x28 merc cleavers on it and the boat is really hard to get on plane and once i get it on plane im only getting low 70s at less than 6000 rpm. Are these props just way to much? Any info would greatly be appreciated!!! Both motors run great and have almost perfect compression.

Friend has a similar set up on a 26' Daytona and 2.5, 280 hp motors. I believe his top speed is at 104 MPH, however I don't know what these motors redline at...definitely a lot higher than 6,000.

Yeah redline is 7500. Thanks for the reply any idea what props he is running?
