Default Anyone using an electric power steering pump?

Hello all. I'm piecing together a full hydraulic steering system. I have a single bravo, dual ram setup.

I'm thinking of using an electric power assist pump in place of an engine driven pump. Reason being, I'm dry sumpin the engine and the oil pump is in the way of the power steering.

Thanks, rob

Contact "Knot-Right" on here. I believe he has an electric PS pump in his 46 turbine powered Skater.

I had 38 center console fountain with outboards, it had electric hydraulic steering, it worked great. I think this is what it had: http://www.seastarsolutions.com/prod...ower-steering/

Hey man, your old iron heads are still in my rig and running good. Closed Cooling converted in 2010 no issues. Have been serviced 3 times since I got them from you.

I've got it on my outboard cat and all I can say is I wouldn't want a boat without it. I'll try and get some info off the pump in a bit and let you know who makes it. It runs off 12v from a switch on the dash, I def know when I forget to turn it on.

I'm interested in what you have. I see that Latham offers it.
