Default Looking for someone familiar with the wiring on a Scarab Excel 22

Hey Guys,

I still have to dig into this myself, but I just thought that I would post this hoping that someone is familiar enough with the 1989 Scarab excel 22 wiring to be able to help me out

I had the boat running on the trailer the other day and noticed that all the buttons on the switch panel aren't lighting up and working. These are the buttons like: horn, nav., bilge, stereo, etc.

Is there a fuse or breaker somewhere that runs the whole panel?

Any other ideas are appreciated.

Thanks for the help

I have the same panel. There are fuses under the dash. The whole panel has one power lead. I personally do not like that panel. I am having another one made and going with all analog rocker switches. I have had nothing but problems out of that switch panel.

Thanks for the reponse Khubard.

I finally dug around last night and and I confirmed that the all the fuses at fuse panel under the dash is seeing 12v.

The switch panel is also getting 12v. So I bypassed and jumpered a few switches and still couldn't individual things to function. Not too sure why that is but I am kind of thinking that the switch panel may be toast as the last time I was out on Erie in 5-6 foot waves and took a few big waves over the bow and totally soaked the boat down including the panel.

I am thinking of redoing the panel too.

Have you redone your switch panel yet?
Did you use relays?
Any pictures?

Thanks,

Jason
