I'm changing out my outdrive from an SC to an SCX , upper and lower , new style lower , anybody have any first hand
experience with this set up ? speed loss ? gain ?

The lower has a bulge in the casting and is causing handeling problems with the 27 speedster Eliminator.Larry at Larrys engine and Marine in Tucson is pulling his hair out trying different props,sizes and different lowers.Buddy Bar did the castings for Imco and they are real poor quality.

The SCX upper is stout but the SCX lower will rob you of 3-4mph. Unless you send it to Wilson for blue printing.
