Yes, on twin engine applications spinning inward or outward will change the bow lift. That is why many step bottom boats turn props inward.

yes.. after suggestions from JT, KeithATL and Bblades... All mentioned running IN to get bow up and has different attitude running IN than OUT.

I have not finished my test yet with a load, but riding by myself and just over 1/2 fuel, it ran totally different. Rode higher up in water, bow was noticeably higher and took less trim to get bow up.

My 25p m+'s wouldn't trim very well OUT and would start to porpoise where with less trim it rides higher and responds better to trim IN.

We have the Patriot Poker run "next" weekend, so I should finalize my test then and decide which way to spin them.

oh, mine blows out turning with any trim setting neutral and above. Spinning in, the boat felt a lot more "fluid" in turns and didn't blow out. Blowing out in turns was a crazy/scary feeling, one that you can manage when anticipating it, but once we had boat traffic and it made for an awkward moment as it blew out trying to navigate thru some traffic/waves in a turn in the river. The falling sensation usually scares the passengers.. cons to 3 blade I guess

NOTE: I swapped props and swapped levers at helm (20 min job tops)
I did pickup some of my lost mph.. 3mph and about 400 rpms b/c I am able to trim out better now. Heat really took a toll on my boat this summer.. lost 800 rpms (gained 400 back, but need to lab them)

Every identical boat has its own personality.
Inward does leverage the transom more than outward rotation but backing up into slips can become a interesting prospect as well.

I hope to test IN properly on a poker run on the 14th. Looks like I will need labbing regardless, but since my boat blows out in turns spinning OUT, would labbing correct that spinning out? Or 4 blades the only cure?

Adjusting Lab recipes can aid in preventing blow out in turns. This type of adjustment can also lower top end rpm levels.

Ok.. thats easy.. I will need to keep IN, will know after this test with the 24p b1 next weekend.. feeling of blowing out was freaky, wife really didn't like it, Spinning IN felt very mechanical and fluid as I turned and laid the boat over.

You know everybody likes to say that about the handling, but I can control my boat nearly as well as a boat with IPS drives and a joystick, I can back up perfectly, walk it sideways, put it wherever I want. At the marina I back it onto the forklift where they pull it out of the water. It does handle different than when the props spun out but it is still very easy to control.

I agree with you, I think its skill set or comfort. I noticed that I only had less pull/thrust in reverse which i just had to apply some throttle. For someone that only uses the gear levers would just have to get used to compensating with throttle. I was using 3 blades, so we shall see how 4 blades respond. But still all about relearning and ease of operation. Out requires less work than In from my initial test. But if rideand speed is better, then I will leave them IN.
