Is it possible to re wire a 6 prong hatch switch to a 3 prong switch?

No, (not easily at least) you are reversing polarity of the DC motor. You need the + and - on the switch.

It can be done with relays and more complicated wiring.

Google power window switch wiring diagram. Its not as complicated as it looks. I'm actually rewiring mine to run off two momentary switches and relays. All you really need is two 5 prong relays. Just remember the #30 prong will be the load out instead of power in. Basically you end up double grounding both leads off the motor until you energize one relay then one becomes hot then the motor will either lift or lower.
