Today I found out the date of this years Radar Run is October 12.
At Tim's 2 in Fairview Beach, VA
Registration usually starts between 9am and 10am
Classes are separated by boat type, as in Single I/O engine V, Twin I/O engine V, single OB V, Twin OB V, and all of the above with Cat instead of V.
Its FREE to make a pass and you might win some money that is generated by Sponsors that are listed on the T-shirts that are for sale, or maybe even free if you run your boat! like in some past years. (This is always determined by the organizers and sponsors so don't hold me to it).

I believe they provide you with 1 mile of green buoys to follow to the finish/trap/gun but there is no limit on where you how far back you can start.
The course is set up for boats to start from the North ( Aquia Creek side, left side if you are on the dock looking at the river). The radar gun is usually 100 yards in front of the dock.
Last year there were two Velocity's that broke 100 in the Single V class.
I don't know if they will be back
