I need to know if the small panel that hangs down in the rear of my cockpit is structural or not. I have something I want to do butI do not want to compromise the integrity of the boat. This is on my 89 scarab 21 excel.

hard to tell exactly what you are pointing at

Its a piece of fiberglass that sticks down on the inside of my cockpit. The rear seat arm rests sat against it. I tried to get better pics of it.

it stiffens the top cap. if missing, you would feel it flex when your arm is resting on the side of the hull. you could cut some off, but not all of it.
