Default intimidator

When I was a kid back in the mid eighties my family and I used to vacation at Indian Rocks Beach, FL just up from Clearwater, FL. The place we stayed at had the gulf on one side of the street and the ICW on the other. I can remember seeing a boat with INTIMIDATOR blazed across the side of the boat. It is this boat that turned me on to hi-perfomace boats as it would rip past me with all its glorious thunder while I was fishing form the small dock on the ICW. Does anyone know anything about this boat or better yet have any pictures of it?

Intimidator was a white 30 Sutphen I believe It was raced by Gene Whipp.

I think he also at one time had a Velocity named that also

The boat I think he is talking about was a Rabco . There was a group of "ator" boats in CLW St Pete in the 80's Intiminator,Dominator etc I forget the rest but there were several at that time also traveled with a boat **** happens (Scarab I think). I think Intimidator was white brown gold TRS boat.

Mike Poppa, Ben Poppa and Gene Whipp raced a 30 sutphen then a 30 Velocity called Intimidator. This was the late 70's. Color scheme was White and Orange. Still have the creamsicle racing jackets. After Intmidator, Mike moved on to another 30 Velocity called Still Crazy (which Mike's son and I found and restored). We always wondered what happened to the Intimidator.

The boat in the photo isn't the one. I recall the hull being brown with intimidator in like orange yellow and gold... Do you kno what it had for power?
