Default PowerPlat 185XLT Euro Windshield Removal

Was sniffing under the dash of my PowerPlay 185 and noticed water on the stainless bolts that hold the euro windshield on, how hard is it to take it off? I'm wet sanding the boat this winter so it would help being off and i dont want my dash to rot out A little PM makes a PowerPlay last a long time........ Any help would be great

Just remove the nuts and washers from underneath. I would have two people lift it off in one complete section once all the nuts are off. Usually has foam tape under it for sealing but could also have some clear silicone. Use a flexible putty knife to brake it loose form the deck. Be careful wet sanding, the gel on those is not very thick. Have you tried a three step process with a wheel such as 3m perfect it?

I'm taking some old ugly decals off the white top deck, will the 3m product work at evening out the shine?

Yes. Go slow dont use alot of pressure, let the product do the work. Keep your pad fresh and wet. By wet I mean rinse it with water before you start and keep rinseing it. I sometimes use a spray bottle of water to keep moisture on the pad. Worse case scenario, if you have to wet sand, you will still need the 3m products to bring back the shine. I doubt you will have to though.

If you remove old decals, you will never get the ghost shadows where they were to completely go away.
