Default Team Saris 2013 Race Season Review

As a lot of you may know, we put a new boat together for the 2013 racing season. Over the past 3 years we have been restoring a full stagger 1982 32 Cobra that Jason originally rigged in 1982 at Harbor 1. Our first race of the season was Atlantic City this June, we finished the boat with literally only a few hours to spare, didnt even get one full ride, or the name on it. The race was our test session....we were happy when it got on plane. And even happier when we came in with the Checkered Flag. The next race was in Long Beach Long Island, another ocean race. We led half this race and were overtaken on the last turn by Team Perdition (34 Phantom), which put us in second. The last race we made this season was the Solomons Island Grand Prix, river race with lots (chicane and all) of turns. We were curious to see how our new boat would handle this, well, in a word, GREAT. We battled for the lead with RnS Racing and Perdition for about 3 laps, then Johnny cut her in hard, and away we went. By the end of the race we had lengthened out lead to half a straight away, to take the checkered. We are very pleased with our boat this year and are thrilled with all the support we have gotten as well. The offshore racing community is a brotherhood, and we are very proud to be apart of it. See everyone in the World Championships in Ocean City October 4-6, we will T-Shirts for sale and a big pit display. Stop by and say hi!

Atlantic City Grand Prix- 1st Place
Long Beach "Sock em Sandy"- 2nd Place
Solomons Island National Championships- 1st Place

Ocean City Worlds- October 4-6

Few more shots, thanks to Lucididee Fast Boats, Freeze Frame Video, Sharkey Images, John Rowland(R'Addiction), and Cindi Hudson for the great pics from this season. Ocean City will most likely be hellaciously rough, cant wait for some great air shots

Did the 33 Powerplay come from the 32 Cobra mold?
