Default Oracle Team USA Sweeps 7 Races WOW!!!!!!!!!! Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anybody been watching the Americas Cup? Team USA has come from behind with seven straight wins!!!!!! These boats are just amazing, flying on their foils faster than the wind speed. Truely technalogical marvles. I know this is a powerboat site but these blow boats are well worth watching.

Yea...amazing..I think I saw speeds approaching 50mph...I had no idea they had the foils. I lost track the last few days didn't know USA was up by that many....would go over and watch but wifey doesn't wanna deal with the crowds...I watched the smaller boats earlier this year while at a conference in the City... no foils for them.

Looks like sudden death tomorrow....

Yeah it's been pretty dramatic. It's crazy how long the competition lasts, too.

Geeesh.....as fast as the blow boats are going in ten years from now their forums will be having the same "speed/safety" conversations we are having...

They already are!! With the crash and death of a crew member of the Italian's boat "Luna Rosa" in the preliminaries they have set a wind speed limit for the event. If the wind gets above 24.1 knots the racing is cancelled. Even if the race is already started it will be stopped for the day.
