Insurance for a 41' Avanti?
I currently have progressive insurance for my 1987 41' Avanti but I've recently completely restored the Avanti and I feel the value is more than they will insure it for.
Who else will insure a boat of this age?

I would need more specs on the boat (primarily engine info and value). But I have a couple carriers that will consider. All will require a new survey (or one less than 12 months old).

They will probably agree to up the coverage if you can verify the value to them.
When I requested a $38k policy on my 1995 Warlock 210 LXI they sent me a letter saying they didn't want to cover it for that value. I called, and after a quick discussion I sent pictures and serial #'s off the Bravo 1 XR drive and the pretty powder-coated custom 6.6L Duramax engine in it. Someone there must have understood what I had cause they sent a letter saying they would cover it. That value is 3x the NADA of that same boat factory rigged...
