Default 05 288 w/ 496 h.o. prop question

Hey guys been running a stock mercruiser 26 bravo 1 4 blade prop on our 05 288
Threw a blade today and need a replacement . Anything out there in the propeller world
That would give me better overall performance such as a 5 blade or something, maybe a different manufacturer ? Or is a 26 bravo 1 still my best all around choice. Thanks chris

Stick with a B1. Also, I run a 24p on my 288 and like the overall performance compared to what I was getting with the 26p

Like yours, My 05 is the stepped hull a 24 hits the rev limiter, the 26 is even close to the limiter in spring and fall. Was wondering maybe a hydromotive or something else would be better.

That surprises me. I run 4900-5000 with the 24p and believe I had a peak of 4700 with the 26p.

maybe a merc rev4? I put one on my 24' sunsation...
Prev had a 26p B1 running 74mph @ 5400
With 25p Rev4 ran 74 @ 5100... but plane time was shortened, lower RPM at top speed, and picked up 5-6 mph at 3000RPMs cruising
Better all around prop for me but I have a different boat... But might be worth looking into, maybe talk to bblades... he does prop trial program $45 for 2 weeks

consensus is, a 24p B1 is best for 2005 496 HO ?

I have run a 24p B1 4 blade and I was on the rev limiter as well, just got it back from being labbed at BBlades with a little more pitch added, have yet to test but from everything I read, the 24p B1 is the best all around prop. I have wanted to see what speeds I would get out of a 26p Bravo prop just out of curiosity but I went with the labbed 24p for all around performance.
